What is the battery life of the light stand?
Different brightness and colour temperature settings will influence the battery run time. Based on real world use, the average battery run time for the Nova is 8-12 hours and the Orbit 6-8 hours of continuous use.
What's the differences between the Nova and Orbit light stand?
Both the Nova and Orbit both utilize the same ultra stable battery base and telescopic pole. However the lamp itself is considerably different.
The Nova allows more flexible adjustment of the lighting angle through its flexible double arm design allowing shadow free studio quality lighting to varying spaces.
Where as the Orbit is more suited to portrait applications by bringing shadow free, true to colour lighting to your subject and your studio.
Are they portable?
Both the Nova and Orbit are fully portable and cable free (when not charging). The whole lamp is made up of 3 major components that can be easily packed down and transported and then reassembled on location. Please see the product manual for more information on assembly.
How do I charge it?
To charge both the Nova and Orbit it is as simple as plugging the supplied charging cable into a regular wall outlet and the other end into the Base Station. The full recharge time is 5 hours however the lamp can be used as normal while plugged in and charging.
